Lucy Marr
Lucy started her personal yoga journey starting classes in Bali in 2019 with the simple intention of being able to touch her toes yet quickly learned the transformative power of mind-body connection.
She deepened her practice through her 200hr RYT in Hatha Yoga (2022), 50hr RYT Yin & Yoga Nidra (2023), teaching in international colivings in Colombia, Mexico, and Spain, and aligned studios both in North Carolina and San Francisco.
Most recently, her interests have expanded her learning to include kids with her kid's yoga training with San Francisco-based school, It's Kid's Yoga (2025). She has always worked with children in different capacities along her way, as a camp counselor, au pair in Australia, and after school extracurricular teaching assistant, and is excited to introduce the spirit of yoga to littles in a playful and accessible way.
She is also a trained childbirth and postpartum doula, and is in the process of completing her 85hr RYT Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga training. She can't wait to share yoga with kiddos in a way that feels fun and resonates with where they are developmentally and energetically.
Lucy's kids yoga classes focus on introducing classic yoga poses while incorporating natural connections through animals and nature, helping kids to learn and understand in an explorative way that they are already used to.
This 45-minute class is fun and silly, while maintaining the core spirit of yoga by giving children the space to expand and explore their bodies and breath on the mat.
With a background in Psychology, she is especially excited about working with children aged from 5-7, given the unique developmental window that time offers for learning, connecting, and body awareness. Her classes are about having fun and learning something new, and are more of a co-creation with the energy of the students rather than a typical adult instructor-guided class.
