Elizabeth Demafeliz (Lizzy)

Lizzy discovered Pilates during her time at UC Davis while navigating the stress of college life and searching for ways to move her body that felt supportive and sustainable. She instantly connected with how grounding the practice felt—for both her body and nervous system. It helped her build strength, improve posture, and most importantly, reconnect with herself.

Lizzy is a Certified Mat and Reformer Pilates Instructor. She is working on her Meditation Certificate as well as Comprehensive Pilates Instruction due to complete in December 2025.

In her work as a teacher, she has made it her goal is to create spaces where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered to move in a way that honors their own body. Her teaching style is grounding, mindful, and therapeutic. She focuses on helping you move with intention and awareness, with a strong emphasis on core strength, posture, and the connection between body and mind. She offers thoughtful cues, modifications, and encouragement so you can meet yourself where you are—whether you’re a beginner or more experienced.

In her classes, you can expect a supportive space where you're invited to slow down, tune in, and move with purpose. She’ll focus on grounding breathwork, building deep core strength, improving posture, and cultivating body awareness. Her hope is that you leave class feeling stronger, more centered, and more connected to yourself—both physically and mentally. 

Pilates Foundations

Focus:

  • Breathing techniques

  • Core engagement basics

  • Alignment and posture

  • Gentle flexibility work

  • Low-impact movements

  • Basic mat exercises (e.g., pelvic tilts, leg lifts, bridges)

Ideal for:

  • Total beginners

  • Older adults

  • People recovering from injuries or with limited mobility

  • Yoga students new to Pilates

Mondays 11:30am, Wednesdays 8:00am & Fridays 1:00pm

Mat Pilates with Meditation

Focus:

  • Smooth transitions between exercises

  • Intermediate/advanced mat work (e.g., teaser, rollovers, side planks)

  • Dynamic core training

  • Props like resistance bands and balls

  • Emphasis on precision, control, and strength

Ideal for:

  • Students with prior Pilates or yoga experience

  • Fitness enthusiasts

  • Clients wanting to build deeper core strength and body control


Class ends with a meditation.
