Gretha Martinez

Gretha is a Dynamic Mindfulness and Restorative yoga teacher offering gentle practices rooted in Buddhist philosophy, somatic awareness, and nervous system support.

She found yoga as a university student in Barcelona, where her first Savasana (corpse pose) brought a wave of calm she did not know was possible. That moment opened the door to something deeper, sparking an ongoing journey of exploration and self-inquiry.

Gretha completed her 200‑hour teacher training in Dynamic Mindfulness in 2021 in Berlin, where she was introduced to the perspective of the body not as something to be purified or fixed, but as a layered, responsive ecosystem worthy of attention, kindness, and care. She has since completed further training in Restorative Yoga and continues to learn through practice, study, and presence.

Gretha's teaching blends movement and stillness, breath-work and pose variations to suit different needs. Her approach allows those who practice with her recognize the uniqueness of their physiology, focusing on the feeling of their poses and alignment rather than the aesthetic. This practice is a form of self-exploration and mindfulness over a physical performance.

She holds space with warmth and intention, encouraging students to slow down, turn inward, and meet themselves exactly where they are.

Restorative Yoga

The art of deep rest.

In this nurturing class, we settle into supported, long-held postures (5 to 20 minutes) using bolsters, blankets, and blocks to rest deeply and release pent-up tension. With emphasis on relaxation and nervous system regulation, each pose encourages surrender, stillness, and release. Expect to leave feeling calmer, more grounded, and profoundly restored. Restorative yoga is great for recovery, reflection, or a mindful pause in your busy week.

Gentle Flow Yoga

A gentle flow guided by the breath and rooted in presence. Slower than a typical Vinyasa class, this practice weaves together breathing exercises, fluid standing sequences that synchronize movement with breath, and slower, grounded stretches to round off the session. Expect ample time to integrate and rest in Savasana. Variations are offered to make the practice what you need. All levels are welcome!
