Cole Nielsen

Cole (they/them) is a queer and nonbinary teacher from the Bay Area. Cole approaches yoga as a path of personal transformation and spiritual connection. What began as a physical practice soon became a sanctuary for self-reflection, regulation, and healing. Over time, yoga has become Cole’s way of living: an integrated path rooted in the present, in truth, in transformation.

A devoted student of yogic philosophy and energy work, Cole completed their 200-hour yoga teacher training in San Francisco at HAUM Studios and holds Level 2 certification in Reiki, and has a daily meditation practice. They teach from an embodied, spiritually-centered perspective, offering spaces where students can sink in and tap into themselves.

As a queer and non-binary teacher, Cole creates inclusive spaces where everyone feels seen, safe, and supported. Their classes emphasize presence over performance and encourage inner listening to meet yourself where you are. Through thoughtful movement, breathwork, and energetic awareness, Cole invites students to return home to themselves, again and again.

Cole’s teaching style is soulful and meditative. Expect a slower pace with attention to breath, body awareness, and finding some peace on the mat. Classes often draw from themes rooted in yogic and Buddhist philosophy, lunar cycles, the seasons, and the subtle body. Cole layers in reiki, pranayama, slower folds, and moments of stillness to help students calm the inner noise and connect with their practice.
