Yin with Reiki

Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in 1922. Developed by Mikao Usui, it is a gentle, non-invasive practice where a practitioner channels healing energy, typically through their hands (placed lightly on, or just above the body) aimed to help balance a person’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Rei- means universal or spiritual wisdom, and Ki- means life energy (or chi, prana). This practice is believed to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Most people report feeling relaxed, warm, or peaceful.

Other benefits (reported by practitioners and their clients):

  • Deep relaxation and stress reduction

  • Emotional clarity and balance

  • Support for healing physical or emotional pain

  • Improved sleep, focus, and energy levels

Yin with Restorative

Yin with Restorative combines these into a single session, usually starting with longer-held yin poses to open up the body, followed by restorative poses (with props) to promote complete relaxation.

How it Feels:
Yin = "sweet discomfort" as you soften into deeper tissue,
Restorative = "being held"- your body fully supported and feeling safe

Benefits:

  • Improves flexibility by slowly stretching connective tissue

  • Calms the nervous system, reducing stress and anxiety

  • Supports deep rest and recovery

  • Increases body awareness and mindfulness

  • Perfect for burnout, insomnia, or high stress
