What is Classical Yoga?

Ancient eastern traditions based on Classical Yoga provide a strong foundation for spiritual growth. These practices extend beyond physical postures to emphasize inner awareness, self-discipline, and connection with the higher Self. Our higher self is the part of us that intuitively guides us. The pure practice of yoga deepens our connection to our authentic self and cultivates a sense of inner peace.

Maharishi Patanjali was known as “the father of yoga” who put together a series of aphorisms, known as “the yoga sutras” that guide philosophy and practice. These principles when practiced can enhance your spiritual journey and enrich your yoga practice. In other words, this was the secret sauce to achieving a state of tranquility- something most of us crave in today’s world.

These core principles outlined by Patanjali are: The 8 limbs of Yoga, Meditation, Breath work, Spiritual discipline, Self study, Devotion, Path of selfless action and Path of wisdom.
